Mnet Asian Music Award for Artist of the Year

The Mnet Asian Music Award for Artist of the Year (??? ???) is a daesang (or grand prize) award presented annually by CJ E&M Pictures (Mnet). It was first awarded at the 8th Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony held in 2006; the five-member boyband group TVXQ won the award, and it is given in honor for artists with artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the music industry.

Since 2014, China UnionPay holds the naming rights for this award.
